Storm Water: Pollution Controls During Construction (3 credit hours/3 HSW Hours)
This 3 hour course presents Controls and Best Management Practices to prevent storm water contact with possible contaminants from construction activities. The course will also outline what types of non-storm water discharges are allowable, how to control allowable non-storm water from the construction site, and what measures should be taken to limit pollution caused by these discharges.

At the end of this course the student will have an understanding of the control measures and practices used to prevent contact between storm water and potential sources of contamination or pollution.
 
The student will be able to identify many potential sources of pollution including specific materials and chemicals, problem areas, procedures and general construction practices.
 
The student will understand how to develop a Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan.
 
The student will understand how to control allowable non-storm water discharges on their work site
