The Design-Build project delivery system is growing in popularity in both the private and public sectors of the construction industry. This 2 hour course provides you with a review of the various design-build team formations that are most commonly used today. Advantages and disadvantages of each of the five major teaming arrangements are presented in detail. Next, this course explains the organizational responsibilities for both the design-builder and the Owner working under this project delivery system. Finally, design-build specifications are discussed including how performance specifications have evolved as the standard for design-build specification and how they are written today.
