Project Event Horizon (1 credit hours)
To many of the people working on them, capital equipment manufacturing projects can seem like black holes. This black hole nature of projects is so common that the term Project Event HorizonTM (PEH) is used to describe the point where people, resources, time and profits get sucked into a project in a desperate attempt to achieve the project’s objectives. By using the example of the PEH, this course helps engineers, project managers, and others in capital equipment manufacturing organizations understand why many manufacturing projects fail and what can be done to increase the chances of project success.
