This 5 hour course covers chapters 11B, Divisions 1-4 of the 2016 CA Building Code.  Chapter 11B focuses on Accessibility to Public Buildings, Public Accommodations, Commercial Buildings and Public Housing. The following is a breakdown of the Divisions covered in this course:  Division 1: Application and Administrations, Division 2: Scoping Requirements, Division 3: Building Blocks, Division 4: Accessible Routes.  This course will completely satisfy the California Board of Architecture Continuing Education requirement.

The student will become familiar with the language and terminology used in the CA Building Code.  

The student will become familiar with the rules and purpose of the CA Building Code Accessibility standards.  

The student will learn about how the CA Building Code applies to various types of facilities.
