· The student will have knowledge of the basic definition of management and supervision.
· The student will have knowledge of the four functions of management – planning, organizing, leading and controlling.
· The student will have knowledge of the components of the planning function including establishing goals, developing strategy, and managing change.
· The student will have knowledge of the components of the organizing function including organizational structure, human resources, and team building and management.
· The student will have knowledge of the components of the leading function including leadership models, decision making and problem solving, motivation, counseling, and discipline.
· The student will have knowledge of the components of the controlling function including organization standards and ethics, compliance, quality control, and protecting sensitive information.
