Q: Are home study course books and online courses the same thing?
A:
No.  Although we carry many of the same course titles in both formats there is a big difference between home study course books and online courses.  The biggest difference is that home study course books are mailed to you and online courses are taken directly on our website.  Both products require a passing grade on a quiz to earn your credit hours.

Q: Do you offer quantity discounts?
A:
Absolutely!  The best way to get a quote is to contact us at 1-800-960-8858.  Special discounts are available for individuals and corporations.   If you are purchasing 30 or more hours you can qualify for this program.

Q: Does Titan Continuing Education report my credit hours to my state board or organization?
A:
Yes! Titan Continuing Education will always report your credit hours directly to the board or organization that you request as long as that board allows reporting from providers.

Q: Does Titan offer in-house seminars?
A:
Yes!  We will gladly review your request for an in-house seminar.  You may choose from any of our currently available seminars or request a specific topic to be tailored to your needs.  Please contact us at 1-800-960-8858 and speak with a representative for more information.

Q: How long are online courses available after I purchase them?
A:
Courses are available for you to take for one year after your date of purchase.

Q: May I buy a block of hours & choose courses later?
A:
Yes you can.  Call a customer service representative at 1-800-960-8858 for details.  Using this program you can purchase a block of credit hours (minimum 30 hours) from our online selection at a discounted rate.  You may take any online course available so long as you have enough credit hours remaining in your account.  You will be given a special code that your whole company can use (separate accounts should be completed for each individual to ensure proper reporting/certification of course credits).  Your discount code will be active for two years from the date of purchase, so you can finish off what you need for your current renewal cycle and be prepared for the next one ahead of time.

Q: What does HSW mean?
A:
HSW stands for Health, Safety, Welfare. Many architectural boards and some engineering boards require that a certain number of continuing education credit hours are in subjects that protect the health, safety and welfare of the public. Titan Continuing Education courses will clearly indicate if they include HSW credit in the course title.

Q: What does PDH mean?
A:
PDH stands for Professional Development Hour. Although many states have different names for the PDH (CPC, LU, CMC), all you need to know is that 1 PDH = 1 hour of continuing education credit. Therefore, as an example, if you are in need of 15 credit hours, you would need to satisfy 15 PDH.

Q: Will your courses count towards credit in New York State - Architects
A:

Yes, in almost all cases.  There are a few courses that New York State will not accept.  These courses will have the following statement: 'New York Architects - This course will not be accepted for credit'.  This does NOT mean that these courses will not be accepted in other states.  There are currently no other states that have refused credit for any Titan course.  Further, if you mistakenly order a course that will not be accepted in New York State and you list that you are registered in New York State when registering, you will receive a call from a customer service representative to make sure that you are getting what you need.

New York State has very specific requirements for continuing education credit.  Titan Continuing Education is an accepted provider through our affiliation with the AIA (American Institute of Architects).  Our providership number with the AIA is J661.  If you would like to view all of the requirements in New York State please click here.

If you would like to speak with a customer service representative about your requirements please call 800-960-8858.
