Area 2 Advanced Building Code
Ø The student will understand the current State of Florida Code changes.
Area 3 Safety
Ø The student will gain an overview of OSHA safety requirements.
Ø The student will be able to develop a safety program.
Ø The student will understand the advantages of executing a safety plan
Area 4 Change Orders
Ø The student will gain an understanding of how to determine changes according to the contract.
Ø The student will be able to properly process change orders.
Area 5 Project Management
Ø The student will gain and understanding of the purpose and scope of project management.
Ø The student will be able to identify and establish necessary project management controls.
Ø The student will gain an understanding of scheduling and how to apply it to a project.
Area 6 False Alarm Prevention
Ø The student will gain knowledge to troubleshoot equipment for the purposes of preventing false alarms.
Ø The student will understand the importance and have the knowledge to provide the consumer with valuable information on operation of the equipment and preventing false alarms as well as how to address false alarm issues when they arise.
Ø The student will understand how false alarms affect public safety by diverting the attentions of authorities and how costly this can become for the consumer and taxpayer.
