Design Build - Liability and Management(3 credit hours)
Course Description
This 3 hour course details how the design-build system is implemented after the contract award. This course presents the shifts in liability for all of the parties of the design-build process as well as risk management, insurance and bonding issues specific to the design-build project. Unique management techniques that apply to design-build projects are discussed. Finally the advantages and disadvantages of the design-build process are listed separately for the owner, designer and builder.
