Electrical Principles and Practice (7 credit hours)
This home-study course will provide the student with basic concepts in electrical principles and applications. An overview of electrical theory, along with circuit calculations is presented. The course will also review applications that electricians, contractors, engineers and architects will encounter in their work.

The student will understand the basic theory of electricity and magnetic fields.

 

The student will understand how circuits operate and be able to translate these circuits to real world applications.   
 

The student will gain knowledge of electrical grounding and how noise can affect various components and systems.

           

The student will understand how motors work in all the above systems.
