This 6 hour course will provide an understanding of nuclear power plant operations and why there have not been any new nuclear power plant orders in the US for over 25 years. The course describes the TMI and Chernobyl accidents and a series of other significant operating events that served to transform the Nuclear Regulatory Commission into a hardened regulator.
