Nuclear Power Plants: What Makes Them Safe? (5 credit hours/5 HSW Hours)
This 5 hour course will provide an understanding of the mandated safety systems that are incorporated into every operating nuclear power plant in this country to protect plant personnel, the general public and the environment against the hypothetical design basis loss-of-coolant accident which simulates a collection of simultaneous worse case assumed accident conditions.
