Building and Site Security (7 credit hours/7 HSW Hours)
This course discusses how to protect a building or a site from clandestine attack and defines the characteristics of a defense system that integrates people, procedures and equipment. Typically, the clandestine attacker wants to penetrate the site or some area of the building, without detection or interdiction, and engage in espionage, steal or destroy data or equipment, cause a malfunction in building operations, prepare the target for future attacks or even destroy it. The mission of the security system is to provide cost-effective protection with a high level of confidence.
