Course Description

This 2 hour webinar will discuss the most common types of retaining walls that are used on construction projects and why these walls are so popular. Wall types that will be discussed are cast-in-place concrete, gabion, large precast concrete block, and modular block retaining walls, among others. The advantages and disadvantages of each wall system will be highlighted so that the attendees will be able to better understand each wall type. The interaction of each wall type with other site features such as storm structures, buildings, and utilities will be discussed. After conclusion of this webinar, the attendee will be able to properly specify the most economical retaining wall system for their specific project.
