1. Identify the various levels of regulatory oversight in the built environment, differentiating between federal, state, and local jurisdictions.  
 
2. Research and identify the specific federal, state, and local authorities having jurisdiction over a given project.
 
3. Analyze a project scenario and outline the necessary steps in the regulatory approval process.  
 
4. Evaluate the applicability of various building codes and regulations to a specific project.
 
5. Create a zoning analysis diagram for a given project site, demonstrating the relationship between zoning regulations and design decisions.  
 
6. Justify design choices in a historic preservation context, considering relevant regulations and guidelines.
