Obtaining the necessary energy and water utilities for a new Artificial Intelligence (AI) data center can be the center of many problems.  Data center developers and designers must be aware of the potential difficulties in supplying sufficient energy and water to support 24/7 operations.  This course examines the electricity, water and gas utilities necessary for commercial data centers.  These facilities have become unpopular with the majority of the public.  Potential environmental and cost impacts of a new data center in the community are cause for concern for local residents and pitfalls for the designer/developer.  The impacts of resource consumption and pollution caused by noise, heat, combustion products and lighting are examined and remedies explored.
